My full name is Wang Yifei, but you can call me Fei.
开场状态
I'm doing well, thank you. A little bit nervous.
Part 1:学生身份
Currently, I'm a student and I major in philosophy in my university.
Part 1:专业偏好
Yeah, I really like philosophy. I have been interested in philosophy since high school, and I always like asking those why questions. I guess I have too much curiosity.
Part 1:专业热度
Well, I don't think so. Most people think it's too far away from reality, and it's hard to get a job, so it's not popular.
Part 1:当前人生阶段
Well, to be honest, I don't really enjoy the current stage, because I feel like I'm kind of stuck in the middle, like I'm not, I'm not a child anymore, so I can now just play around mindlessly and have those happy and worry-free time, but I'm not also a very mature adult, I'm not very independent both financially and socially, so I I guess it's a little bit hard.
Part 1:当前重点
Well, for me, I think the most important thing is study, like my passion for academic. Currently, I'm I'm preparing for my applying for a graduation post postgraduate program, so I spend almost all the time on like writing the a writing sample, and I inquire the related topic.
Part 1:幸福阶段
Well, I think most people would say childhood is the happiest stage in their life, because just like I mentioned, they don't need to worry about like pay bills, healthcare or housing, those very realistic problem, and it's easier to make some good friends, but I also think that actually being an adult is also a quite good stage, because you are more independent and. 自我滿足怎麼說 self self self sufficient.
Part 1:拍摄风景
Yes, I really enjoy taking pictures of different views, like from the nature, the natural scenery to the view of. The city, and I especially like those, ah, pictures of, I especially like taking pictures of the modern, ah or traditional architecture, both from the whole, both of the whole, building or, the small details.
Part 1:风景偏好
Well, I I haven't been other countries, ah before, but I do watch some. Ah, famous photograph of, the view of other countries, and I think I I prefer the, ah view of my own country, especially those related to the local religions. Like currently, I'm really interested in, ah Buddhism in China, so they have a lot of, ah, very, beautiful and ah. Amazing traditional temples, ah, the color is very vibrant. I see, ah, it's very beautiful.
Part 2:最近的改变
A change that I made recently is that, was that I decided to, ah study in the department philosophy department in a Hong Kong university, called in Lingnan next semester. And actually, ah, in the past semester I studied there, and as the original plan I need to go back to the, ah my university in Beijing next semester. However, I really like the atmosphere, ah at Lingnan, so I decided to, ah spend my next semester there too. And, ah, the main reason is of course my, ah. I want to pursue my, ah passion for, philosophy there, and there's a lot of professors that, working on the topic that I interested in. Ah, so I can, have more, ah I can have better support there. And, actually I did I did a lot to, ah. For this change, because my university's policy didn't, uh, support me to stay there next semester as a formal, uh, exchange student, so I can only, audit the course there, so I need to associate with professors, and have their permissions, and I, uh, went their office hour many times, and communicate with them, uh, how I love the atmosphere and, uh, the, course provided there, so finally I, uh, got approved, and I can, I can go there next semester. I was quite, uh, I have a lot, expectations.
Part 3:改变日常习惯
Well, I think a moderate change is really good, because if you do the same things every day, like, uh, have the same routine, like, you will, gradually lose your sense, to the reality, like you will forget, you will forget, uh, what day is that, or, uh, what the around, environment around you, around you is like, so I think a moderate, changes, is good because you can be more sensitive to your, uh, surrounding, but don't I, don't think the change should be, uh, very extreme, like sometimes extreme, change can make people feel, a sense of lose control, and, uh, bring a lot of stress and anxiety.
Part 3:换专业
Uh, well I think, I think that depends, uh I think if the student have a lot of passion, for what they want to learn, and they really know what, not know what the major is like, then they should follow their heart and change their major, for example I myself, change my major in philosophy, since I've been interested in since high school, and I really, uh, my passion for philosophy is not, uh, unrealistic, like I really know what is like to doing research, or or, analyze those sophisticated, uh, articles, so I think, uh, those kind of change can be very helpful, but. Like on the other hand, some student just have, uh, a a passion without, uh, really, prepared for that or, uh, does not have related ability or knowledge, then. Changing their major could be a disaster or could be very discouraged.
Part 3:抗拒改变
Well, I think, that's quite understandable, because, everyone just, can feel very safe, within their, uh, comfortable. Comfort zone, uh and step out the comfort zone can take a lot of effort and time, and, um, and you can face a lot of challenges, and a lot of obstacle, and all of which can make you feel, uh, depressing or lose of control, and. And I think that's understandable because some people just are not so ambitious, or they, they just want to uh live a peaceful life, so. I don't think it's, it's uh it's a bad it's. It's, it's. It's a bad thing. I don't think it's a absolutely bad thing.
Part 3:年龄差异
Um, I would say young people prefer changing their daily routine more, because there is many reasons. For example, like young people have more energy, and they don't feel. They don't feel, uh, tired easily, so changing their daily routine can be very exciting and can be easier, and also young people can feel bored very quickly, and if they need to do, uh, the same thing every day, they can quickly feel bored and, uh, lose their interest, so they would prefer, uh, live a different life, but older people, I think they might just want to stay in a peace, in peace, and just enjoy their time.
Part 3:适应改变
Best way to adapt changes, I think the best way to adapt changes is to, uh, be open minded, like. Uh, you need to, you need to learn to, uh, deal with different problems, or to, uh, communicate with different people, and you need to. You need to stay calm, when facing problems, and all of them, need, being open minded, and it's also like when you, facing changes, uh, it's good for you to take other people's advices, uh, those can be very helpful and, a open mind can help you to, uh really learn from others.
